Workout dvds and videos are the perfect solution if you’re not ready to join a gym, or if you’re short on time or on a budget. You can get some fabulous workouts for less than one month of gym dues. Plus, many workout videos feature some of the top trainers in the world – trainers that you would never have a chance to work out with in person.
If you are just starting out with workout videos or dvds, start by purchasing just one. Try it, make sure you like it – and make sure that you are actually doing the workout! – before you purchase any additional dvds or videos.
Once you’ve got a routine going, and you know that you are going to stick with doing dvd workouts, than I’d suggest you pick up a few more dvds. Variety is the spice of life, and you are bound to get bored doing the same routine over and over and over again.
So mix it up – get a toning or strength training dvd, a yoga dvd, and a cardio dvd. A P90X dvd or Insanity Workout dvd gives you a wide variety of exercise options within each one. And a Richard Simmons video is always a good, fun choice for a workout.
